Montague Corporation’s Paratrooper
September 20th, 2006 by Randy Policar
When I got home from work, a very nice surprise was waiting for me. Today we received the Paratrooper Mountain Bike from our good friends at Montague Corporation to test out. As a Paratrooper myself, this is one bike that I’m really exited to be able to review.

Even my daughter Kristen was exited about the Paratrooper.

It’s pretty impressive how well the bike was packaged for delivery. You could tell that they took the time to ensure your bike would not get damaged. As you could see the bike was well protected.

Complete assembly took me less than five minutes.

I couldn’t wait to see how this bike rode. As soon as it was put together, I took it out for a spin. I just had to parade it through the whole neighborhood. Everyone who saw it was pretty impressed. They said that it looked different from all the other bikes they’ve seen. I would have to agree. It really is different; It’s a folding mountain bike.

I was surprised to see how light this bike was. It must be because of the aircraft grade aluminum tubing Montague uses to build their bikes.
I plan on jumping with the Paratrooper on our next Airborne Operation. Stay tuned for a more thorough review.

Wow that looks even cooler from how they show it on the catalog.

Wow! You guys never fail to get the very bikes for review that I\’m considering buying myself. I did hear that there were issues with the front derailleur very quickly for a few buyers… something that was hard to get corrected for those owners who were military, and deployed overseas.
I really look forward to reading more about this. And the RedLine 9-2-5. And the Urban Xtreme. And the Xtracycle.

You are going to dig the convenience of a folding bike. I want to read about how it will do on dirt trails and how you are planning to jump with it.

Can you take some close up pictures of the quick release on the body where it folds?
