Early Morning Rain

With it raining and having to get up so early this morning reminded me of an old cadence we had to sing in Basic Training. “In the early morning rain, life is good ready to train…”

At 5:30 this morning a couple of my buddies and I met to ride out to City Island. I have no clue on why they insist on leaving so early. This was the first time I was to ride with Sal and Donald. The roads were slick from the rain so it should be an interesting ride.

Sure enough, a few of the guys had a couple of mishaps with the bikes from the roads being so slick. It’s just too bad that I didn’t have my camera ready when it happened.

I think I just found a few more riding buddies. These guys are all talking about riding more often and possible hitting a few trails. I think it’s great because I’m always on the lookout for more people to get on their bikes.
