Febreze is your friend
August 13th, 2007 by FritzMany long-time bike commuters can relate to this story of “No belt, no bra, no pants”. I’ve made several emergency trips to local stores to buy clothing or personal hygiene items after arriving at work or other destination to discover I’m missing a vital piece of my wardrobe.
It’s been a while since I’ve made that mistake, but it still happens on occasion. I even keep a spray bottle of Febreze to help “freshen up” my clothing just in case! It’s kind of nasty, but still better than nothing I suppose.

There has to be a better solution. Once I forgot my deodorant at home and another time I forgot to bring a shirt change. I was scrambling around the office looking to see if anyone had any spare shirts sitting around. Luckily they had a whole box of company Bike To Work dry-wick shirts from the previous year. They gladly handed me one.

Working in the blue collar world has it’s advantages eh? If I forget my boxers or deoderant or whatever (assuming I have pants at least) I can always make do.
I don’t have to sit in an office and look presentable.

It just happened to me today. I just got back from a long vacation and forgot my shirt. Thank goodness I had left a fresh gym shirt in my locker before I left. I work in a very casual enviroment, so it didn’t stick out too much. I didn’t match, but at least I had a shirt on.

I just keep a stash of everything in office. The one item I forget most frequently is my keys, you don’t catch people driving to work making this mistake! So far, I’ve been lucky and have managed to hunt down someone with a master key.

I forgot my shoes many times, and my wife had to drive to work to bring them. I’ve forgotten my shirt a couple of times, but fortunately had extras at work. Now I have two extra pairs of shoes, pants, and shirts.
